Rainworth won this New Years day clash thanks to a goal apiece in each half from their strike duo of Ian Holmes and Conor Higgingson.
Spent the game in the company of Tony Squires - and had passing words with former Wrens keeper Mark Hales, former Hucknall boss Brett Marshall and good friend Brian Dennett. Rob Hornby was also present - still looking for takers on tickets for the inaugural Notts Senior League groundhop.
The game was poor for this level - even the goals were nothing to get excited about!
The first came on 31 - IAN HOLMES slotting past Martin Kearney from 8 yards after he had latched onto a wayward Higginson shot.
The second Wrens goal was netted by HIGGINSON in the 55th minute, the no. 9 firing firmly home at the far post after Carlton's defenders failed to clear their 6 yard area.
